I was listening on 17m on what seemed like an almost dead band when I heard a CQ from IS0ESG/QRP. There were next to no other signals but when I turned my antenna in his direction he was 579 to 539 with QSB. I gave him a call and received a 599 plus report which wasn't really surprising as I was running 200 Watts so I reduced power to just 5 Watts and received 559.
I've been working QRO recently (200 W), but that QRP contact gave me a better thrill than any QRO contacts. I think I need to get my KX3 back into service and start playing serious QRP again!!
