Hello all,

I want to share this one, with all of you, it is so nice. I would like to try one of these just for fun, it seems it would be a very special experience, don't you think ?

 What a nice transmitter!

Rigs like that are fun and work not bad. Here is one I built several years ago. Last QSO I used it on about 2 weeks ago. This one is 40M. Known as a TNT the grid coil is low Q and in the near so to speak while the Plate coil is very high Q and therefore dominant and freq determining. Often cathode (or B-) keying. Mine isn't as pretty but it works well. It uses a 45 tube however can use a 01a etc. I had one of the old 45 ballon tubes from the 1920s for years but it finally signed off and I had to use the newer 1930s type.
I also use a Hartley Mopa pictured here. It uses a 56(osc) tube and a 42 tube(PA) and is actually a transceiver. Both tubes and sockets are from a 1930 radio I scrapped. Design , In house.
