Yes Dave, the 30 meter band is very interesting , for me it's better than  the 14 Mhz where i have many qrm 55/56 . My V inverted dipole (2x8.31m) with an 1/6 balun, oriented east-west, satisfy me for the moment...i'm testing the milliwatting transmission (60 or 170 mw) but without success...
