Hi to all. Bob de k2ki here in Vermont.
Been a ham since 1984 and KA2UZC was my original call.

Been interested in QRP for a while (20ish years). I had been bitten bad by the QRP bug back in '07 but had a nasty accident that left me in a world of hurt and loss of mobility both arms and legs.

I had purchased a few kits back then but never had the time to build them. I then decided to buy as much as I can and use that to help me gain the inspiration to get moving (my wife thinks otherwise).

Well, almost 14 yrs later and I think I am there. (I guess I's slow that way) Hi. so now, I have have a few kits that need building (Rockmte for 40, Softrock Ensemble for 40 & 30 I think, and a brandy new QCX-mini that I am in the process of inventorying plus a few other tid-bits) and fix up a few basket cases that I bought to repair along the way.

I do have a working Rockmite on 40 & 30, a Midway me-80 and a Pre-Dave Benson, K1SWL model SW-40 that was in a QST article entitled "A Single-Board Superhet QRP Transceiver for 40 or 30 Meters", Nov. 1994, Page 40. Seems to work ok. Made a couple of QSO's. Plus, Softrocks for 160, 80 & 40 that I have never been able to make contact with...

Anyway, just wanted to stop in and say hi. Been registered for a bit (Feb 2020) and just getting around to introducing myself (See, I told you I was slow) hi.

Good morning Bob,

I'm am a bit late, but better late than never Hi!!

I wish you a warm welcome, from your neighbor in Québec City, and I hope to meet you on the air.

I'm doing QRP & QRPp  for 58 years , this year, and I always have great fun  doing this.

Rigs now are Yaesu FT-818ND since last year, but I'm a user of ft-817, first generation, for 8 years, then sold it and got a ft-817nd FOR 12 YEARS, sold it and got the 818ND. Imagine if I have this little peanut whistle  for 20 + years it is because I love it very much . The other rigs I'm using are the old trusty Icom IC-703 plus , and an Elecraft KX3, but my xyl VE2RH is taking good care of this one, she loves it, but I use this one from time to time.

Antennas are all kind of wire , dipole/inverted-V loops, etc., I like to experiment and I try to tune them the best I can, because 5 watts it is  5 watts. Hi! So before using it, I tune it with my antenna analyser.

I also use a fish pole antenna, as a vertical dipole, it is made of a fiberglass pole, with a wire for the vertical part, and another wire generally called a counterpoise.
