I have all way been fascinated by the fact that the little energy radiated from QRP- stations can reach the whole world....provided the proper propagation conditions make it possible.
My QRP operation started in 2003 when I got the KX1. I have often enjoyed QRP operation in the French Alps in often in altitudes of 2000 to 3000 m. I also enjoy the QRP operation from my sailing boat where my floating sea- plane is the best arial.
Tomorrow our local ham club has the yearly summer outing as a Mini QRP-field day. We will set up three operating places: one with my KX3 working my home brew Mag-loop, one with my KX1 working my 10 M high OCF folded 1/2WL vertical dipole, and one with Ten-Tec 1420 working a vertical/horizontal dipole. The other hams come with their QRP gear. The site is surrounded by water and beaches on two sides and the weather is splendid sun. G Please see further information on QRZ.com. Have a nice weekend, vy 73 OZ3SM, Steve
