Back on the air..
« on: August 03, 2014, 04:14:07 UTC »
Well, I finally got back on the air this evening after a 3 year hiatus.  The myriad of issues I faced with getting my HF station back up and running was daunting, but I finally made it happen.  It is, however, less than perfect.  My 20m dipole is up in a storage area inside the house, definitely not the best place for it but, unfortunately, the only place at the moment.  Got a 19 amp power supply today and got the AT and radio running.  Called CQ on 14.020 at about 22:20z right in the middle of the NA QSO Party and didn't get a reply.  I'll have to try again tomorrow after church.  Right now, however, I'm just glad to be able to get back on the air at all.  Anyway, just thought I'd share my little success with you all tonight.
