Hello From Japan
« on: March 16, 2019, 00:36:33 UTC »
My name is Haruto (Haru) JM1XTB. I am 70 years old man ! My starting of HAM is 1964 (Tokyo Olympic Game year) when I was 16 years old. At that time my call sign was JA4CVA (now expired). Current call sign (JM1XTB) is since Nov 1980.
My QRP operation is from 1986, so QRP operation is over 30 years. During 1986 to 1998, I was using MIZUHO MX-15 TRX (300mW output) and I applied a WAC Award (QRP/CW) in 2016 when I retired from work.
In 2010 I have changed to TenTec 1340 TRX (7MHz 3Watts). Few after I added (1) Frequency counter, (2) WinKey2 board, (3) SCAF LPF and (4) RF pre amp, those and main board are put into a case. At that time I also improved ANT system (MFJ-1640T and Coaxial Cable Counterpoise with ANT coupler). By using those, I could get winning prizes in WPX CW contest and WW DX CW.
In these 3 years I am very interested in WSJT-X. As shown in my page of QRZ.com (https://www.qrz.com/db/JM1XTB), I have developed 7MHz 100mW TRX specialized for WSJT-X
I could QSO with K7SCX 4 times by JT65 (9,270Km/0.1W=92,700Km/W).
Currently I am making 10MHz 100mW WSJT-X TRX.
JM1XTB is no life no QRP !! Thank you very much. CU on the air. 73.
