Solar cycle 25....
« on: May 02, 2020, 22:09:35 UTC »
Hello!!

What's going on with radio propagation,? Very disappointing, for me.

Check this official website:  https://www.spaceweatherlive.com/en/news/view/400/20191210-official-solar-cycle-25-forecast-update

We have to wait  a bit. But I hope Sporadic-E (Es) to be present on the highbands 21/28/50 MHz.

So check this website from time to time to see the progress...

See you on the bands,

Longest low SFI I can remember, just doesn't seem to be improving. I have recently worked a few Es into EU, but there's very little CW now on 6m as most seem to be using FT8 which bores me out of my skull.

Seems like it has been years since I was last here. Actually, has been.  As for poor prop, well, I just redefined  my definition of DX.  Now, I am satisfied with hundreds rather than thousands of km distances when contacts arrive. In fact, I do not become depressed when nul contacts occur. Just pick up my Kindle and read a book or listen to Mozart. Still at 5 watts with a TS120V and TS130V set up now and a low wire on 20M. All CW as usual.  72 de Dick F8WBD
